Exfoliating Scrub
You can make Exfoliating Scrubs from so many things.
This is not really a recipe, more like ideas on what you can use to make your own recipes.
If you use food products, you will need to refrigerate your scrub.
Choose an Exfoliate: The exfoliate can be any mildly abrasive item
Ground Coffee
Granulated Sugar (less abrasive)
Plain White Sugar (less abrasive)
Brown Sugar (less abrasive, best for sensitive skin)
Iodized Salt (removes impurities and dead skin)
Sea Salt (removes impurities and dead skin)
Black Lava Sea Salt (removes impurities and dead skin, helps to increase cell activity)
Cornmeal
Sand
Ground nut shells
Choose an Oil:
Olive Oil (naturally antibacterial, for really dry skin, won’t clog your pores)
Extra Virgin Olive Oil (naturally antibacterial, for really dry skin, won’t clog your pores)
Safflower Oil (naturally antibacterial, calms irritated skin, prevents clogged pores )
Almond Oil (naturally antibacterial, can reduce the effects of UVB rays, helps to improve skin tone)
Avocado Oil (helps your skin retain moisture)
Extra Virgin Coconut Oil (naturally antibacterial, antioxidants and free radicals which help prevent aging)
Other Liquid Options...
Liquid Soap
Liquid Lotion
Optional... Fresh Fruit and Vegetables: Adding in a fresh fruit will reduce the shelf life of your scrub, and you’ll want to keep it in the refrigerator and not your shower.

Strawberries (brightens your skin tone, vitamin C
Pineapple (best for acne prone skin)
Tomato (protects skin from UV rays)
Cucumber (reduces water retention)
